This skill is used anytime you engage combat unarmed. It functions the same as other combat skills such as Archery, Fencing, Mace Fighting and Swordsmanship except without the need of wielding a weapon.
Wrestling is a skill often used to complement Magery, and also allows a mage to defend while adhering to the requirement of having hands free when casting spells or using Meditation.
